OCCUPY OAKLAND — A gentleman in a Mercedes floored his vehical into two protesters for mocking his car. The police investigated the situation and let the driver go. In the city of Oakland, if you are taunted by a pedestrian, you are now legally allowed to man-slaughter them with your car.
spread this dude’s face everywhere.
what. the fuck.
This is why I hate police, law, government whatever the fuck you want to call them. Fucking useless I swear.
I fucking hate fucking people
Suddenly, I like my birth country ALOT more now. Wow America. Wow. I am glad that I am not a citizen of a barbaric country like this.
…You know I’m American, right?
Thanks, dude.
And, you know what? America isn’t perfect. America is pretty fucked up. Our government officials are mostly elected on who can appease the right corporations and make the slickest ad campaign, we have a disgusting history of human rights abuses, our political system has boiled down to “pick who will fuck you least”, we have poverty and abuse and sickness and all sorts of things like that. Our last couple of presidents before Obama made us into a great, big, imperialistic war machine that hemorrhages money and exports soldiers. We have a lot of very serious problems, both national and international, and I’m not denying that.
This? Is not American barbarism. This is one person being an utter dickhole to a bunch of other people who are standing up for their own rights and the rights of millions of other people, at sometimes great cost to themselves. If anything, what this says about America is that some people in it, just like people in every other country in the entire world, are awful human beings, but so many more are good, kind, caring people who want to help others.
The bottom line here is that you really don’t have any right to call an entire country of people barbaric because of three pictures and one person’s actions. This person is pretty awful, and the behavior of the police and government officials in response to the whole Occupy movement has been pretty fucking barbaric, but that doesn’t mean America is barbaric or that you’re somehow a better person than Americans because you’re not a citizen.
In fact, how about you just not ever say anything like that again, about anyone? Don’t call people’s countries barbaric. Call their government barbaric, call the actions of the police barbaric, call certain incidents barbaric, but don’t say the country is. Because I don’t know where you’re from, but I sincerely doubt that there is nothing like this in your nation’s history, and I also bet that if I sat here and said I was glad not to live in such a barbaric place, you wouldn’t think that was very cool.
I’d like to say that I am extremely sorry that have offended you and others, I should’ve thought how my words would have affected people before I said/typed them, I should’ve thought of a better way to express my thoughts. I know that not every American is like this, I know that are many kind U.S citizens, I know that every country has flaws (yes, this includes mine), my country is known for the FARC, rape, violence, and has had terrorism occur in our country, from our own people. I know that America isn’t the only country with imperfections, and that it is not the people who make a country bad, it is government’s fault, because they believe that just because they power, means that they can do anything they want, forgetting that the gorvernment should be formed by all people, not just 1, 2, 3,or 10, but ALL people.
I aware that there are countries in worse situations than America. I should not have been an ignorant, judgmental asshole, when my own country has had more of a violent history over politics than yours, therefore I am a hypocrite. Please, I only ask for your/everyone’s forgivness, but if you don’t, that is fine too, I believe that my ignorance does not deserve an apology.
